I must say thank you to Juan who was the first and last smiling face we saw in Peru.
The duo Miguel and Ricardo is a magical team taking us to all the places in Cusco region. Special thanks should be given to Miguel who took care of us for most of the Peru trip and took my son to the top of Wayna Picchu! He is gentle and informative and I must say he has an unforgettable handsome Inca face which makes me think that he could be a descendent from the royal family! Ricardo, with his superb driving skill and a happy smiling face, has made our journey safe and enjoyable despite of the sometimes rugged paths to the faraway spots. Though we only saw Jon on our arrival at and departure from Cusco, I know he had been working hard to make the logistics. Cusco is a place that I have loved for a long time and I feel myself really lucky to have your magical team to be our guide. There are really many fond memories – Machu Picchu (a place that I dreamt of visiting), Pisaq, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero (I can’t forget the golden potatoes on the grassland), the ladies and children of the village … Some of my friends, seeing my photos on Facebook, said that I was so happy that I seemed to have returned to my “homeland”. I must say that my heart was left in Cusco!
But, of course, the trip to the South Coast and tour in Lima are also enjoyable. I mention it less only because I am a fan of highland and ancient architecture instead of sea and modern cities. The South Coast has a landscape that is completely different from Cusco and the Sacred Valley. It was exciting to fly over the Nazca Desert and saw the mystical lines in person. It is my first time visiting an oasis – Huacachina. My son was very happy with the visit to the Ballestas Island, thanks for choosing Libertador Paracas for us. To me, the Larco Herrera Museum in Lima is a must-visiting place where I saw many of my beloved stone beaded necklaces. I am sorry that I forgot the name of the lady guide accompanying us for the South Coast and Lima visits. She is very informative and friendly.
