What a memorable experience! Even though we made the decision to travel to Peru at the last minute, Nina and the Ancient Summit staff provided us with a wonderfully relaxing and fulfilling customize trip to Peru. Our guide in the Cusco region, Miguel, was absolutely spectacular—knowledgeable, patient, kind, accommodating, and personable. The Peruvian food throughout the entire trip was phenomenal, especially the home-cooked lunch by Aida. We had an amazing time exploring Cusco, Pisaq, and Chinchero, and horseback-riding and paddle boarding in the Sacred Valley.

The ancient architecture and idyllic scenery stunned us at every stop. Machu Picchu was surreal. The Inca trail hike was incredibly rewarding with the beauty of the mountains, Wiñayhuayna, and the view of Machu Picchu from the Sun Gate. Our stay in the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge was worth every penny, as the next morning we were one of the first to enter Machu Picchu. As the fog cleared and the sun rose up from the mountains, we just sat there, taking in the ethereal view.
We had a last minute request to see the Nazca Lines, so we didn’t spend much time in Lima, but the Ancient Summit staff booked a wonderful stay in Paracas and plane ride to see the geoglyphs. Our guide Cecelia and driver were very accommodating, shared a lot of her knowledge of the local area and of Peru with us during our 4-hour drive, and when we returned to Lima, she also gave us a great drive-through tour of Lima hours before our flight.
We had a magical trip, and we would definitely recommend Ancient Summit to anyone looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We felt really cared for the entire time, and we can’t wait to see more of Peru! Thank you Nina and Ancient Summit!
