“Nina’s years of living in and visiting Peru put us in touch with local people”
My husband and I booked a trip to Peru including Arequipa/Colca Canyon, Machu Picchu and the South Coast of Lima through Ancient Summit Travel. I had been loyal to another travel agency for many years but Nina’s connection to Peru was so compelling I had to go with her. My hopes and expectations for this trip were met and exceeded. Every detail was considered and planned in advance.
The hotels she booked were well located, quiet and within walking distance of nearly every restaurant we chose. Nina’s years of living in and visiting Peru put us in touch with local people to interact in ways we may not have with another company’s itinerary. We had a fabulous lunch in a private home with her close friend. Nina was in Urubamba at the time, so she was able to join us. We had such a great time with her that she came and met us the next day at the local market and cooking lesson she had arranged at one of the best restaurants in Urubamba. The chef was also a longtime friend of Nina’s.
The guides she chose for us were exceptional, particularly JC, who hiked with us into Machu Picchu and Wayna Picchu the next day. Nina also surprised us, in advance, with some wonderful extras that made it a very special and unique trip for me and my husband.
It was our third trip to South America and undoubtedly the best. Nina’s attention to detail did not stop once the trip was booked and paid. She emailed us at all the appropriate intervals in advance. She also kept regular contact with us during our travels to make sure we had everything we needed as well as to see if we wanted to make any changes or additions.
I recommend that you book a trip through Ancient Summit and know that you’ve got the best people navigating your trip. All the staff at Ancient Summit really cares that you have the best experience in this most beautiful part of the world. Jimmy and I had such a wonderful time in Peru.
