“The experience of visiting the women’s weaving community and the school was quite extraordinary. The welcome, with music and full traditional costumes and dance, in that old monastery setting, really made us feel special, and that we had just stepped into a completely different world. Wow. And you know, we bought something from every woman, which was fun and seemed like a lot at the time, and now that we’re home I wish we’d gotten more! The quality of their work was much better than anything we saw elsewhere, and there is NOWHERE in this area to get ANYTHING Peruvian, so the things that we brought home from them are treasures.
