The majestic Inca citadel of Machu Picchu —once again— named one of the best places to visit in the world.

This time, Flight Network has placed Machu Picchu in the 4th spot of its World’s Ultimate Bucket List 2018. To create said ranking, over 800 leading travel journalists, agencies, bloggers, and editors from all around the world were consulted in order to gain insight from their opinions and expertise.
According to Flight Network, this ancient sacred city “fills you with awe at the true beauties of a past culture.”

As is known, Machu Picchu was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 as part of an entire cultural and ecological compound known as the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.

Likewise, it was declared one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.

The Incan ruins cry out to adventurers who crave a destination immersed in history and panoramic views of untouched nature unlike others in its depth of beauty and power,” the travel company notes on its website.

Flight Network also suggests tourists walking through the Inca Trail, viewing the Intihuatana Stone, visiting the Temple of the Sun, as well as enjoying the serenity and peace of the ruins.

The World’s Ultimate Bucket List 2018 is composed of 50 stunning must-visit destinations, including the mystic Amazon rainforest (31st).
